I have been wanting to go to Rye for quite some time now, based on the recommendations of friends in SF. Last week, during one of my many trips to SF from LA, I finally got to experience Rye, and lemme tell you boys and girls, it did NOT disappoint. This, in fact, is the epitome of MY kind of bar; rad art on the walls, low key vibe, great bartenders who are experts in their craft (yes, muddling & mixing the perfect drink, is a craft to me), minimal amount of clutter so there is plenty of standing and sitting room. We were here on a Tuesday night, and it was late, so it wasn't packed but it certainly wasn't empty. I imagine this place does get packed, especially on the weekends and during happy hour. There is an outdoor smoking area (bonus) and clean bathrooms (double bonus).

Funny enough, the day after I visited Rye, I attended a happy hour event put on at the Farmer's Market in SF, to celebrate Cocktail Week and the peeps from Rye just so happened to be there. I ran into one of the bartenders from the night before and she was super sweet. I had to give her props in person because that's just how I do. I will most def be back to visit Rye again and again.
