– Great place, with even greater dishes. Inspiring wine list. The nice atmosphere is still the same as it was when Kookpunt was situated at the Marcusstraat.

– Again a great evening at Rijsel. Try the toast Kannibaal, the famous Rijsel Poussin and excellent port with cheese to top off your dinner.

– Pieter runs this restaurant with passion. He used to work in Melbourne and Toronto, but decided that Amsterdam was a good spot to start his own restaurant. We enjoyed the building, beautiful old 'Huishoud' school, high ceilings, great floor.

We had a duck salad and a pigeon from the rottiserie with nice pumpkin and spinach.

We hope Johannes van Dam will stay away from this place for a while so we can keep this gema bit for ourselves!
